Mr. Weiss expressed concerns about costs, the current state of the association and world, a request from the Performing Arts group, moving quickly when we have other assets that should be looked at and need to be looked at (such as the golf course). “I’m concerned all the way around…,” he said.
Result #2: the Board did not approve the Ryan Young design contract.
3 minutes, 4 seconds
Mr. Weiss emphasized that he believes in the 4th Clubhouse, and believes we’ll eventually go back to having booking issues. But he is leery of getting pushed into something maybe we can’t afford. He stated that many things are going on including the strategic plan that is coming up, and it’s all confusing and uncertain. Another Board Member (our VP, I believe) added that for now we need to figure out how to fund the golf course and we’ve got to make do with what we’ve got and take care of what we’ve got.
Bottom line: neither contract was approved and it appears the 4th Clubhouse is being put on hold.
